Grand Soil

Soil is often overlooked, yet it’s the very foundation of life on Earth.
In this work, human touch triggers the decay of delicate flowers, dissolving into pulsating soil,
symbolizing how our actions affect ecosystems.
As the touch disappears, the soil begins to breathe again, quietly pregnant with new life.

It’s a poetic reflection on nature’s cycles, our impact, and the humble power of regeneration.
Soil - "the skin of the earth".
As the living foundation of life on earth, soil sustains agriculture, ecosystems, and the ways humans live and build.
However, due to its quiet and invisible nature, it is often overlooked, although it supports almost everything that grows and prospers.
This project turns the spotlight onto soil, revealing how human activity disrupts ecosystems and the ground beneath us,
through its remarkable self-stabilizing power, the soil gathers its scattered particles once again, transforming them into new life, blooming into the most delicate flowers.
